A Classic Journey In Design: Part 2C - "Influences & Experiences" (Continued)

Updated: Nov 18

Early on, I had the opportunity to travel with an Oxford University graduate of architecture throughout Europe. That experience, along with living in Via Mizner, on Worth Avenue on Palm Beach, greatly contributed to developing my aesthetics in the field of interior design and architecture. I continue to gain a wealth of inspiration with frequent travels and education in order to stay inspired by the heritage of classic architecture. Exploring art and architecture, with the intricate details, ornate moldings, and exquisite craftsmanship helps to gain a deeper understanding of the principles and elements of classic design.

Appreciation for Art and Antiques

Europe is home to some of the world's most renowned art museums and antique markets. By immersing yourself in these cultural institutions, you'll develop an eye for detail, color, and composition that will enhance your interior design projects.

Exploration of Diverse Design Styles

Each country has its own unique design style and aesthetic. England is known for its traditional and elegant Georgian and Victorian interiors. France is synonymous with the lavishness of the Baroque and Rococo periods. Italy is celebrated for its Renaissance and Neoclassical influences. Spain showcases the beauty of Moorish architecture and the vibrancy of Mediterranean design. By experiencing these diverse design styles firsthand, you'll expand your design vocabulary and gain a deeper appreciation for the nuances of classic interior design.

Living in Via Mizner Palm Beach

Via Mizner Palm Beach is a place to live and work. It embodies the essence of classic interior design. Located in the heart of Palm Beach, Florida, this exclusive enclave offers a refined and sophisticated lifestyle. By living in Via Mizner, I was surrounded by elegant architecture, meticulously manicured gardens, and exquisite interiors.

In conclusion, traveling in England, France, Italy, and Spain, along with living in Via Mizner Palm Beach significantly contributed to the development of talent in classic interior design.
